3 husbands, one night!

Soooo I haven't updated all weekend. I had 3 days off and deffinitly tried to soak it up the best I can.

Friday night was the Q104 Quarter Century Concert. Meaghan and her friend Catherine came over before hand to have some drinks. They were pretty much allready drunk whent hey arrived. I usually hate being drunk at concerts. Really...I just wanted to have a couple of drinks before hand to save money at buying them at the show. We drank, and laughed and listened to tunes. That in itself was a lot of fun. We left around 8:30...even though the show started at 8. This is something I never do!2 But given the fact that it was such a long show, I wasn't too concerned. And we knew (at that time) that April Wine would be on first.

After getting in a cab...we found out from the cab driver that one of the members of April Wine collasped before getting on the plane! So April Wine wasn't playing after all...instead...Joel Plaskett was filling in. I obviously freak out, because I was scared we missed his set all together. At the same time i was estatic!

As soon as we got there, we checked our coats, bought some drinks and went right into the crowd. It was PACKED...people don't realize how big the venue is. We caught the last half of joels set, which was so much fun, as always!

I have to say though the highlight for me was MAtt Mays. We just danced and sang our hearts out and holly hell he was amazing. Maybe its just because I am utterly in love with the Terminal Romance album...but I loved life during his set! At on point, he played a song that I loved 'Spoonful of Sugar' which is actually about Hurricane Waun. This is one of my fave matt mays song, and since its off one of his less popular albums and was never released as a single i was surprised he played it. Duruing the show we met some concert friends, and one was awesome enough to actually let me get on his sholders! So during spoonful of sugar I did and it was unreal...to see the whole crowd and be above everyone - I LOVE IT!

After many bathroom/drink breaks, I am very surprised we got as close as we did. We had relatively good spots throughout the show.

Sam Roberts was amazing. The crowd loved it and the songs from his new album were amazing live. However I will say he could have played more crowd faves...and his set went by sorta fast.

All in all - great show. Its concerts like this that make me wish I could do it every weekend.

Only fall out was walking home wearing my heels. Its a long story...and usually I am much smarter. But these particular shoes have been worn down town, and I have made out fine in the past...so I thought I was safe. but apparently standing for 4.4 hours is much different then an hour at the bar. Soo...there were NO CABS in sight when I elft around 1am....It was raining, my feet were killing me...so I decided to walk home. Yeah....my feet hate me for that decision. They have never been that sore and in pain before. Urgh...you live and learn.

And I can say the pain was worth it, I got
The rest of my days off were spent, being lazy...walking around downtown, going to the mall, visiting people, and cleaning my apartment. I loved it. But getting back to work this morning was brutal...after all the late nights and sleeping in. Hopefully the week will go by fast.

Tomorrow night I get to go see James Blunt with my sister...for free! They have an extra ticket and offered to take me free of charge for cat sitting I did! Yayyy...I love free shows :)
